AIAS Awards
At the 5th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) honored Halo with four awards:
Console Action/Adventure Game of the Year
Console Game of the Year
Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering
Game of Year
In addition, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee also received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Animation, and Flight Simulator 2002 received the Computer Simulation Game of the Year award. The awards presentation was held in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on February 28.

Halo not only walked away with the IGNXbox Editors' Choice Best Game of 2001 honors, but it also won the following Editors' Choice Awards:
Best Action Game
Best Graphics
Best Sound
Best Story

Congratulations to Bungie, although I don't think Halo lived up to the hype. I admit, I was caught up in all the praise and all during the first month I had the game, but now that I've played it soo many times since then, I can see faults in it; and things that were going to make it in originally, but were cut out for some unkown reason. Not to mention the bitter taste left in my mouth when I beat the entire game on every difficulty and got jack-squat for my efforts!

You got to remember that nothing is perfect, nor it ever will be. I myself think Halo is a very good game regaurdless of media! As for not getting jack sguat as you say, you got something out of this game that you may not relize. You got experience and skill then before you started the game. Games are all about fun,challenge, and knowhow!
