i believe people were talknig about that a while back, it was going to be Halo 1.5 it got canned and the next halo will be halo 2

personally i think bungie is gonna come out with a addon disk that will allow official online play. if they add a few new weapons and levels that would be fine with me too!

There is no offical news. I agree with Plewis that they will release an add on disk just before the online server is up and running. This will really help M$. I don't think many people would pay to play Xbox online if Halo wasn't online.

Matt, the PR guy for Bungie denied this a long time ago. Sometime after it was reported in the Rumor Mole column in OXM. Hey denied it on the HBO forums.
