Can you hook a monitor to the x-box?

Forget HDTV **** things cost more then my PC did to upgrade and its fast. Can I hook my 21in monitor to the x-box to get uber reso? Long time ago they said it would be possible just wondering if its still possible or if they dropped it. Thanks.

yes... but you will get **** resolution (>= 640x480) unless microsoft releases a VGA converter.

Well that sucks. I was hoping I wouldnt have to view these games on junky 640x480. The games will be ugly!!! arrgh

There's a company out there that makes vga converters. you just hook up the component cables into the vga converter, and put it into your moniter. I forget exactly what company it was, but it was someting like mad catz or interact. it's out there.
