Beta Testers for XBox Live

Anyone have information on the date the public beta testing begins and how do you sign up??!!!!!

I haven't seen anything official yet. However, it seems that I recall reading something somewhere that MS may look for beta testers for various XBox features (possibly XBox Live?) from the list of people that have registered at xbox.com. I could be wrong tho.
