Question about setup

Hey all this is my first post here so I'd like to say Hi. But here's my question: I have a Wireless Home Network (802.11b) set up and I wanna know how to incorporate my Xbox in it. Tell me if this is right, I can hook up a CAT5 Crossover cable from the Xbox NIC to the unused NIC slot in my PC and have that transmit from my Wireless card to the wireless accesspoint/router then to the Internet. So I can use Xbox Live. I'm pretty sure this will work.

Hey and welcome to XBA forums! I am not sure if I understand your question, but I will give it a shot. For one thing, you only want to use a 'crossover' cable if you are hooking 2 xbox's directly up to each other for system link or LAN play....If you are hooking up directly to a router or a nic card, just use a standard cat5 cable, not a crossover
As far as 802.11b, I now Linksys is working on a wireless ethernet bridge - here some info on it:

From what I understand you will not be needing to route or use your computer with the XBL service... So in order to awnser your question you may just want to plug your dsl or broadband directly into your xbox. Otherwise you may want to get a dsl/cable router like the linksys 4 port to connect both.
