What exactly does a petty soul gem do?

petty soul gems ARE empty soul gems. But they only trap like rats... u can make money off of it, but I wouldnt enchant it

I just collect them and put them in neat little rows all over my house. 20 pounds of sould gems gets to be a hassle sometimes lol. I don't even use them, I just collect them. Along with skulls.

so i think ill just enchant using a petty soul gem this once.

ok, so i think i know what to do.

i need a soul scroll so i can capture the dude, then kill him and he will go inside the gem. then i need any sort of spell. then i can go to an enchanter, put the spell and the gem, and i can enchant.

is this all correct?

my only problem is finding an enchant scroll. where can i get this?

you mean soul trap scroll? at the mages guild in Sadrith Mora someone sells it there, and theres a spell thats is super cheap you can buy at balmora's mages guild that does it too.
