This game looks cool as hell, but I thought the same thing about Circus Maximus and that sucked IMO. Has anyone heard anything on this game, or plan on buying it? I'm probably going to rent it first, but I really hope they do a good job on it.

I think its 4 players. That part looks alright, kinda like Powerstone for Dreamcast.
I thought Barbarian looked interesting until I saw Gamespot game the PS2 version a mere 5.9/10.0 (ouch!!!). I'm steering clear of the Xbox version now.

OK.. I think Barbarian is that RPg that Virgin was making right? And it's coming out this month right? Yuck... not getting a lot of publicity. I never knew virgin even published games. This game doesn't seem to be very well known... and not many people are caring.
Going to rent it first...there are very few games nowadays..that i will buy without playing first

This game is already out on PS2 and sucks major ass. It is definitely not worth your time and money.

Well, that made my decision to rent it easy!
I was going to buy it, after looking at the review I will rent it!
Don't even bother renting this. Might be the worst game i have played in a long time. I'm gonna stop there because i think reviews say the rest.
Well from what I have read...it suffers from slow controls, bland graphics, and some cheep AI. Since the game came out to ps2 hopefully they changed some of these things since the game looks pretty sweet!

Barbarian was release some time ago for the ps2, hopefully they got all of the issues fixed for the xbox release....IGN gave this game rave reviews, which is odd since they are more pro-xbox.
