the first task you have to do is kill some cave rats in a persons house but when i killed all of them upstairs and down and talk to that lady is the house she says have you killed the cave rats what did i do wrong

theres some downstairs and some upstairs, make sure u kill em all.

i think theres more than 3... theres like 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs. i forget it was a looong time ago.

If you killed all of them and you still can't get your reward, you could kill her and then ask about the cave rats and Fire-Eye will say the rats are not a problem anymore or something like that. Then just get a new quest.

no that lady will pay you and fireeye will say keep the money and there are definately three... two upstairs and one downstairs

If you have just started the fighters quest...or You have just started playing morrowind.....I advise you to get the enchunted weapon on your way to Peligiad leaving Sayde Neen....I was so happy after I found that short sword that releases an electrical shock...You will find a dead man with some notes, Shock Iron Sword an a nice robe......and good luck.......peace......
