    30-40

Not too short, not too long!

When looking at the time factor, I think you have to consider more than just the amount of time it takes to beat the game. I would consider a 20 or 30 hour game that I enjoyed playing to be a good purchase if it had alot of replayability (i.e., good multi-player, different storylines/levels for different characters, etc.). However, if it was the same 20 or 30 hours everytime you go through, then I might as well just rent it. So I guess if I had to choose from what you have on the poll, I'd say 40-50 hours.

Hmm, it depends. Right now I want a game that can last me up till 50 hours. But I also love really short games like Circus Maximus. Fun short games. I don't expect anything else. They will last me a couple of hours but thats all. Aslong as they are fun I will love to play them occasionally. Longish games like Halo (which has lasted me 3 months so far but took about 20 hours to complete in all difficulties) are just perfect really. No wait... I remember why I hate Halo... it ended! Anyways, I guess 30-40 hours are ideal for those kinda games but I wouldn't mind playing games that 50 hours...

Under 50 hours, depending on the game.

Morrowind??? Granted, you might be able to do the main quest in about 20, but there is so much else to do.

The games that warrant the $50 prucahase aren't based on how long they play, but how well they play.....

I can buy a game like Inside Drive, and play a 20 minute game. Yes, I have only played a 1, 20 minute game....but the gameplay is so great that I now that I'll be playing 50 other 20 minute games.

On average, I enjoyed a game like Hunter which was 15 hours for me. But, I have spent over 40 hours playing it. The fact that their is co-op and the ability to beat the game with many different characters makes it worthwhile for me.

    just my 2 cents.
