Extended Warranty Question

Is it possible to buy the Extended Warranty from Microsoft even if your xbox is 7 months old? My box has been working perfectly, but i would like to have the extra protection just in case something does happen.

The papers that came with the X say it needs to be within 10 days of purchase, but I don't see why they'd refuse $50. Call em up using that 1-800 Xbox number. I'm almost sure they'd do it, but I could be off.
