Default TRUE / FALSE: You can return games from EB???

Is it true that EB (electronic boutique) will accept opened games with receipt and withing the 10 day return limit no questions asked??

If thats true, then the extra 5 bucks is very worth it ($5 CDN that is )

It's true, They have a 14 day return policy here in Las Vegas. You can return your opened game and get another game of your choice that is still sealed.

i think at the one where i live you get 10 days to return it but you can't get your money back. you have to swap games

at least thats what happened to me when i returned wreckless. they didn't offer me store credit either

There's also a rule where you can give 3 games for one.

Extra $5 ? If you are referring to the fact E.B. is always $5 more than futureshop, walmart etc. that is not the case. E.B. will price match if you show them a ad and the company is not a whole sale place. Making them as cheap as everyone else.

You are so kidding....their prices *always* are a little bit more expensive...and btw, does that mean I can *return* a game I dont like??

What was your 'excuse'? You cant just say: "I dont like the game." Can you?

14 days here in Canada and yes you can. Who cares what excuse you give, they cannot refuse. Hell just tell them you finished the piece of crap.
"Have you ever played Zelda, and you're like, 'Man, that game would be cool if the guy I just talked to hadn't said all that crap about fairies and light?' What if they said something that was good? I mean, it's not like a whole new genre to make games that have depth and a story."

I L.A. area it is 10 days and the game you exchange for becomes a final sale with no further return.

Yes, you can exchange it for a different game. They also let me exchange games for store credit (gift cards).

You can just say you didn't like the game and they will let you exchange. I bought NCAA2K3, why I don't know, but I told him I didn't like it and he let me exchange it for an unopened Street Hoops. It even said on my reciept returned, reason: didn't like.

I'm surprized the let us do it to be honest but whatever its there policy. They don't take much of a loss anyways. The E.B I go to sells used games for $5 less than the brand new ones so depending on profit margin they still cash in and keep us the customer happy which is what really counts in the end anyways

What they do is they wrap it back up and sell it as "new." Kind of bending the law I think, but I'm glad they do it.

    Let me get this straight...

I bought Turok today and i didnt really like it. The new game called The Thing is coming out next week. When that week comes,I take in Turok along with the receit for the proof the i purchased it at that store (EB), to exchange it for an unopen game call The Thing,

    i can actually do that??

i gotta know that for sure casue it would make me happy to take my 50 $ on another game.

Yes you can. In my experience you could take back Turok tomorrow even ( quicker the better ) and get store credit and use the credit to get The Thing when it comes out. The Thing on PC is hella fun btw so Xbox version should be very decent. I went PC cuz Xbox games cost more.
