I'm gonna wait for some more reviews, I may consider buying, or at least renting it. They say it has gore galore! And that alone is enough to at least try the game.

we had two fps(bond and halo) and look now, september brings us turok, timesplitters, and the thing, and the fall brings many more!! SWEETTTT!!!!!

if its one player, i wont buy it, unless the gameplay is very deep. But of course every John Carpenter movie is awesome, Escape from LA/New York, the Halloween series, etc...Ghosts of Mars was OK, but thats all, not amazing.

It looks kinda cool to me (as far as the concept goes) but it's also nothing i'm gonna wanna spend 50 bucks on when there's like 6 games in November alone i'm gonna get.....

The Thing isn't an fps, its 3rd person. But I agree, the good games are on their way.

I think the game to own right now is Dead to Rights, now that's an action game for you.

I'll pass on THE THING, and maybe pickup Hitman 2.
