What the...?? Is everybody having problems with Toys R Us?? The only real problem I had was some guy with some headset on kept coming over to me while I was playing the Xbox and told me every little detail about it. I knew everything and just listened while I played the new Munch game the first time and Fuzion Frenzy the second time. I think Sony people are idiots unless they are personally trying to sabotage their own machines. Has anyone even tried to play a PS2 on it's Flat Screen monitor? It sucks. It looks worse than a PS1 on a regular tv. Plus the controller is too small for me. My hands aren't that big and they aren't that small but, they are fine with the Xbox and Dreamcast controllers.

    Of course, that's just me.

Well I went to my local EB both in Seattle and Bellevue and both stores were plastered with Xbox paraphenalia. It was excellent. Played halo and it was a blast. Played for 2 hours last night around 930...so they sure didnt shut off the systems

Yo man, I was @ Pacifica Place in XEB Software in Downtown Seattle last night.

Played HALO for like 4 hours! W00T! dang, that was freak'n AWSOME!

I was playing co-op on normal setting with some other guys (we'd rotate playing, every hour/ two hours). Oh man, it was so fun. Some nut-case would not have anything to do with teamwork and just went mindlessly blowing away our marines. But this other guys and I on the night mission (like lvl 3, 4???) where you get sniper rifles and have to snipe a bunch of covenant - anyway, we where team-work all the way and just slowly advanced and picked off all the CoV up to the main "bowl" where the landing pad is. That was freak'n awesome. This is a must have for Xbox and Mac/PC if your on that platform. Just a great game. I think just having the ability to play Co-op like that boosts the value of it several levels ahead as to if the game did not feature this option. Played a little 1v1 DM, but with only the other guy to play with, it was kind of, "Zzzzzzzz....." Co-op was much better suited.

Controlling (using normal setting) was a little awkward. I was finally able to get minute detail controlling down very well, and did a decent enough job sniping, but in large, open firefights I suffer a little - not used to controlling with a game-pad just yet.

    One other note :

Why does everyone say the controller is HUGE? I have very small hands, comparatively, and I found the controllers to be a perfect fit. I finally saw them and muttered :

"This it? I thought they where gonna be way bigger"....

Everyone's gone a little over-board with the "The X-Box is H-U-G-E" stuff... the system itself was much smaller than some of you guys make it out to be.

I work for an Electronics store...and, yes, I plan on buying my XBox there. But, I have to be a customer to buy it...and yes, I am camping outside of the store!

I have been telling people that we will have several XBoxes in stock on the 15th and it would be wise to show up when the store opens at 7:00am. Here is the funny part: I am showing up at 6:00pm the day before!!! And, any other hardcore XBox gamer will also...so, when all of the other people show up, it will most likely be too late...we are only carrying 8 XBoxes on the 15h! So, I know that it is important to show up "early".

Default I have gone to best buy and EB

When I went to EB store and asked them if they would have some xboxes on the shelf for my friend he said heck no, they only had enough xboxs to give for the people who made pre-orders and I am lucky enough to have made mine in time, The store was packed and a group of guys were playing fusion frenzy, and wouldn't get off. Nobody told me in that store anything negative about the xbox. People use to say that the gamecube may be better until they played it and got heavily ****ed off because it sucks. I think people may have some grudge on Microsoft, even though it may be the best system, a lot of people don't want it to be because they think bill gates is trying to run everything. Bleh!

I was in best buy and they have fever on and whole bunch of people was trying to play it but some dudes where sitting their playing a whole game. Everyone was amazed with that game saying all kinds of stuff about it. I finally got a taste of it and like 6 employees came up to me and asked how did i like the game and i said i loved it. It must have been the first time they have seen it to because they said that game rocks, they kept telling me about how that game gets so much attention and they hadn't a clue it was going to be that kewl. all of the best buy employees that met me said that they loved the xbox. ha nobody was playing the gamecube or ps2. All my friends who are ps2 fans and somewhat xboxs fans said that the gamecube totally sucks and only kids would play it. I think the gamecube is nowhere near the xbox or the ps2 level at all. japan didn't sell but 30% or 1million gamecubes with only one game. My boy that has a ps2 says that he is going to hate on the xbox because it is the enemy and its purposely trying to put sony out. Now that is best reason not to like the xbox i have ever heard

Well, I have to report I had a GOOD experience at a game store tonight - Funcoland. I almost forgot that place existed in my town, its tucked away in a small shopping center, and I thought it closed long ago. I went in to check on their xbox status, in case my 2 strategies failed to snag one, and found all 3 sales guys pleasant, cheerful and willing to talk sensibly about the xbox. One guy was playing Halo on a little tiny demo kiosk type of thing (not the usual full size kiosk) and I started to get all tingly having never seen it actually running.

After asking about their xbox numbers and what they expect outside their door in the morning, I decided to pick up a controller and the s-video cables since they were SO cool and honest about everything. Then the guy playing Halo stops and offers the wife and I the controllers, then sticks in DOA3. That guy was an employee, not a customer. What a refreshing change from Gamestop where the fanboys drool all over themselves pushing PS2s.

BTW, if anyone hasn't played DOA yet...WOW!!! Just wait till you see it in action...I almost sprayed my shorts...and I'm 32....
