Basically you get to play before everyone else. You get alot of free stuff. ReVolt, NFL Fever online version, Whacked, MotoGP, supposedly a BETA TESTER T-Shirt, a big surpirse before the holidays, a memory card, a carrying case and a communicator. You also get your gamertag, almost garuanteed. You also get to help out Microsoft develop a sweet ass online product. I am happy I beta test.

how do i get to be a beta tester

You can only try to be one. It also will cost you about 60$ american after shipping. You have to order the beta kit. Anyhow, you go to www.xbox.com and go to the xbox live section. Maybe there is a link on the front page. Somewhere on the site they have a "sign up here" link to attempt to become a beta tester.
