Question about Passing

Curious to know how you pass the ball around the defender? Is this a random pass when you press the pass button or is there another button to press also. I am giving up alot of turnovers cause I can never get my players to pass around the defender..any help appreciated

Im gonna assume that you are talkin about nba 2k3. You can just tapp the pass button (A) to lob the ball over the defender.

Yeah sorry bout that..i'm talking about NBA 2k3 here...I know how to lob the pass and also holding will give you a harder pass, but i'm talking about leaning to one side or the other and passing around the defender

I think that the computer randomly does that itself. But, you can try pressing Y and then the corrseponding button of the player.
