I've just bought my totally awesome Xbox but i don't know how to set it up against my pc, winXP, so i can transfer files from my Pc to the Xbox.

Transfer files? Without an XBox being modded, I don't believe it's possible.
Are you trying to transfer music files?
yes, music from my PC!
Well...IF it can be done, the audio files must be in CDA format, not MP3.
