    Default same problem

I hac the same problem and had to open it up. After opening it and detatching the circuit board, look under the trigger. Try facing the pressed part of the trigger up and slowly move it in and out. After some attempts, a little piece of plastic fell out. I thin it might be from on of the sticks. Good luck and hope I helped.

P.S. The S controller is very good, much more reliable.

It's a known fact that Mad Catz, and all other 3rd party controllers for that matter, are steaming piles of crap.

    Buy a real Microsoft controller.

When I bought my Sega Xbox bundle I was initially disappointed that it had the S-Controller. The only reason was that I liked the look of the original better.

After one night I realized that the S-Controller was much better. Not nearly as bulky and much more comfortable. The buttons are not as close together and the triggers require less effort.

I would never go back to the original controller. The only wierd thing is that the Xbox logo on the controller feels a little sticky when you touch it. I guess I'm weird for mentioning that.

I find the regular controller superior to the S. The S seems cheaply made to me. Feels like it will break in my hands. It is also to small for my taste and gives me cramps like the Playstation controller. The regular one is the choice for me.

I prefer the original XBox controller. But, I must admit, when the S-Controller became available, XBox sales surged. I tried an S-Controller and it felt too...well.....normal to me hehe

I agree with Marimac, though...the S-Controller makes my hands cramp up like a PoS2 controller.

The original controller would be super if they would change the button layout, and change the shape of the buttons. Those jagged, pointy, dig-straight-to-the-thumb-bone buttons on the original controller render it useless to me. The buttons on the S are so much better. I like the size of the original, but I can't use it because of the crappy buttons.

i agree i dont use the orginal because the bottons are too close together, its ok tho, but it would of been better if the bottons werre spread more apart.

I have a controller made by Saitek that's actually pretty comfortable and skinnier than the original, you may want to check that one out. Haven't had any problems with either of them since December, and they've been through alot, trust me.

I used to love the original controller but after getting the S controller its hard going back for me, and Madcatz's products pretty much suck from what I hear.

S controllers are for knomes and midgets.

3rd party controllers are for grandparents and people that feel the need for a turbo button.

    is the s controler good
Well i will put it very blunt, but here goes.

The S-controler is the stupidest control layout i have seen for the X-box. Mind you that i have acctually tried playing with it, i am not as good with it as the regular controler. It doesn't feel the same. Then aggain, the PS controlers suck a whole lot more. The S controler was made for the younger gamer that microsoft somewhat ignored during the X-Box's launch. Seeing that it was made for the more mature gamers out there, Microsoft couldn't resist making more profit in opening the market for the younger gamers of this system. So yeah, the S-Controlers are for midgets! lol

oh and don't buy third party controlers, they just suck Balz.

I have to agree with the latter part of your post about 3rd party controllers sucking.. 99.9995% of the time they do suck... My friend had a mad catz and the stupid trigger broke on it too... So what did the do.. Go out and by the exact same piece of junk....

As for your opinion of the S controller being the "stupidest control layout" I have to disagree with you on that one...

When first played the xbox at a demo kiosk my first impression was how big and bulky the Original controller was...mind you I am 27 and not a younger gamer... I told my friends that the controller has to go and that they need to redesign the whold peripheral. And, I am glad they did... I would have continued to use the original, but, would have always thought in the back of my mind how they need to redesign this thing....

Why do you think microsoft is going to package the s controller with all the new boxes...?
