    Ok, i bought an unused Beta Kit from a guy who wasnt able to use it because of the firewalls in his dorm or whatever. Will I be able to to set up my XBOX Live account with my brothers Mastercard debit card without any problems

    I was reeading on some other thread that you had to put in the credit card number that the Beta Kit was purchased with, I hope this is not true. Anyone who knows, i woud really appreciate a response

    Sorry, wish I could help you with this.

    I'm not possitive, but I believe it is with the card that it was purchased with. However i'm not possitive.

    Only one way to find out.....TRY IT!!

    Dude call 1-800-4myxbox and ask them 2 change the cc# it should't be a problem.

    You don't have to use the same card the kit was purchased
    with. I can confirm this since I bought the kit with one of my
    cards, and then signed up with another card that I rarely
    use. You can even go in and edit the credit card information
    after setting up the account on XBL, and change it to another
    card. As to the debit cards, I don't have one, but my friend
    just set up his account using a debit card. Weird thing was,
    he tried to pay for the kit with his debit card and it wouldn't
    accept it. I had to purchase the kit for him on my card, but
    when he set up his account on Live, his debit card worked
    fine.

    yeah, a rep told me it doesnt hve to be the same card
