    Default Transfering LIVE accounts?

    OK, here's the deal...

I bought a LIVE kit on 11/15 and it's great, however, just today, my Xbox decided that it's not going to read my games anymore, so I decided that I'd exchange it for a new one. My delema is that I've already signed up my LIVE account on the Xbox that I need to return.

So my question is... can I transfer my LIVE account from my current Xbox to a memory card and then to a defferent Xbox and still be able to use my account?

I don't want to have to buy a new LIVE kit since my current one is only five days old. I hope someone here has good news for me, otherwise im out $50.

Yes. If I recall this correct here is what u do. When You get a new XBOX, go to account recovery(if it lets u)... Now, from there you need to enter all ur old info EXACTLY as the old one. This will probably transfer it. call MS for sure though

MY friend faced a similiar dilemma, yes you should do as the above post stated but you should also do it quickly. If you left your live info on that xobx and anyone else has it, they have your account.

as far as i know you are able to transfer it to a memory card, or at least copy it to a memory card.

Select the xbox live tab from the dashboard. Choose account management, then there should be a copy/delete option, so then just copy your xbl account to a mem card.

By the way is there anyone on board that knows how to fly a plane?"

    Question

If I take my xbox to a friends place who has broadband, but a different network setup, can I modify my network settings without screwing up my account?

Yes, you won't have to make any changes. But if you do have to, then it won't be affected on your home machine, just his.

I had the same problem, in fact I just got my new Xbox 3 days ago and I have had XBL since beta . . . . saving the accout to a mem card is the fastest and easiest way, going though account recovery is just as tedious as setting it up the first time. Save yourself the aggravation and time, use the mem card.
    Your off the squad!
