splinter cell - help w/ wall mines

dude how do you friggin disable those fat biches? i get up close to it and the interact thing says disable wall mine but then it blows up, what am i supposed to do?

Little tip. When you press the A button to interact with the mine, make sure you HOLD the button for a moment. While the disable choice is highlighted, take a look at the light on the mine. If it's green, you may let go, and all will be fine. If it is red, click up on the d-pad so that "Go back to game" is highlighted, and try again.
