Default Xbox goes back to microsoft after 24 hrs of ownership

I posted earlier about my xbox running real slow when playing dead or alive 3, and figured it was the game. Well, I picked up a new copy, and sure enough I'm having the same problem. Since no local stores have any in to exchange for, it's going back to microsoft to get fixed. The person I spoke to said it's most likely a problem with caching to the hard drive, so they're going to fix it for me. I'm kinda disapointed, but it's no big deal. I will say they are doing a good job getting my system back to me in ample time and with no cost to me. Anybody else have this problem?

I had a brief problem like this while playing Halo. It has yet to resurface since then. I definitely hope it doesn't. I really don't want that kind of hassle.
    Gaming is about the games...

I noticed halo was running slightly choppy, but doa 3 was practically unplayable. Especially some of the more lavish levels with all the detail, etc. Like the background where it's all snowy, it looks like I hit the slow motion button.
