It has a 2.4 ghz radio wave signal. I am guessing you can go at least 100 feet and still have a strong signal with no problems.

I would not buy a wireless control because it is made by a third party company. Third Party accessories on my videogame system is a no no.

Thanks but I guess there are no reviews out yet then hu? I am too close to my TV too and I hate wires. I have all three systems and tones of crap to go with each one so if I can trim it down that would be nice. Also if this new one works well with XBL then I am gonna get it 4 sure. I move around alot doin stuff while playen and I get all those wires crossed up, I wish that head set was wireless, I saw a wireless head set on tv for a Cell I might see if that will work. Thanks again

Thanks WOW I did not know they would cost so much.

Last night I got the G3 wireless troller for my GC (it rumbles) ITs GREAT in every way better then the wavebird. I want a wireless for all my systems, the PS2 one they had was 60 WOW the GC one was only 29. I want one but not at the cost of a game.

    Just to update this thread.

I bought the Logitech controller today. I had searched around quite a bit on the Net and all of these controllers have one drawback:

THE SLOTS ARE ON THE RECEIVER NOT THE HANDSET.

I noticed this in the store, and checked out all the controllers they had there that were wireless and they were all the same deal.

So in otherwords, if you want to use the headset, your still wired to the XBOX.

I bought it anyway so I could play games in a different room that are not on live, specifically HALO. It seems to be working fine, I haven't noticed any lag or any issues at all for that matter.

I am not sure why they didn't put the slots on the controller, some say the 2.4 ghz could not handle that much data, which is false. I have a 2.4 ghz wireless router and network several PC's with it. They get more than enough bandwidth to handle all of what is needed. Perhaps they just could not fit the components into the controller and still have it feel comfortable and light in your hand.

I am still reading the docs, but I have not found a way to turn off vibration on the controller, which surely would extend the 50 hour battery life.

I am also suprised that they did not make the thing rechargeable. They did this with their latest wireless mouse, they should have done it with the controller too.

I will be testing this further this week, and if warrented, will post anything else I find.

Thanks tell me how loose are the controles. I had a wireless GC troller that was really loose, it would take a great deal of movement to get it to react.

I personally don't care about having hooking up my Xbox in a fancy way. I'm perfectly happy with the AV cable because graphics are not important to me.

    Welcome aboard.
