Gamecube with no Internet LOL!!!

Q: Other companies have begun to launch Internet games.

A: The Internet games available today are for hard-core gamers. I don't believe the general public is going to be very interested in them. And I doubt that Net games will turn out to be profitable. There is only interest in these games because NTT DoCoMo Inc has profited from i-mode. I am not sure if content providers have made any money. Unless the business proves profitable, Nintendo will not be involved in Internet games.

Nintendo, they seems to think that their product is superior in some weird screwed up kindda way! I was watching the president of Nintendo USA speak on Techtv...He went on saying stuff like "We build games and harware that people REALLY want." What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Let me start by saying ENOUGH OF MARIO and ZELDA and especially POKEMONS!! Come on!!! Come up with better, more creative ideas! I'd even go as far as saying the same thing to Sega with Sonic.

This console war is getting ugly...it's sad.... But my vote stays with XBox.

The whole reason I bought the Dreamcast was to get online. Quake 3 arena and Phantasy Star Online, need I say more.

Man you guys are being too ruff on Nintendo. I mean we all agree that their target market really are kids right? So I think It's only ok that they don't put internet conection on their little kiddie box. Honestly my 8 year old cousins could care less about hooking-up on the internet. When they want to play against other people, they actually have freinds over (their friends don't have jobs or go to college like most of us adult gamers, all they basically worry about is a little school and playing when they get home). As for the DVD same go's for that. I think It's a good move by Nintendo, seeing that their audience is Kids anyway, that would help them compete and be able to sell for their target cutomers. If I'm a parent and not really a hardcore gamer (which most parents are cause they're too bussy with other things), I would go for the cheapest console to buy for my kid. No way in hell I'll get the little brat the $300 console if I could just buy hime the $200 one. Unless off course I'm Bill Gates =].

But anyway, I to think the GAME CUBE is going to be a push over and it's main opponent will be the INDREMA. The main event still belongs to the PlayStation 2 and the X-BoX. Time will only tell who comes out on top. Remember there can be only one.

Okay so panosonic is making a dvd version of gamecube

Does this mean players will have to buy their games in a totally new format with a higher price?
One of gamecube's biggest boasts is that it is very small, won't a dvd make the size larger?
Will it be hard for developers to create games for the regular gamecube and the dvd version?
Will the dvd jack up panosonics gamecube to a price rivalring xbox's
Please correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't 3DO made by panasonic
Will panasonic make a piece of crap dvd like the playstation 2's?

hahah its also been announced that it will be Phantasy Star Offline, and it will be only multiplayer in its split screen modes. Another big ouch on nintendo.

Nintendo won't be making online games but are you sure about sega's games ie fantasy star,
Gamecube Not Online? Sega Thinks Otherwise.
In sharp contrast to Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi's comments about the Gamecube's prospects online, Sega's Sonic Team leader Yuji Naka commented to the press that Phantasy Star Online 2 for the Gamecube is being developed as a networked game with online play in mind. His hope is that the release of PSO 2 coincide with that of the Gamecube modem. He also clarified that the split screen version demoed at E3 was prepared in that manner because the network code was not yet ready.

okay two things... First of all.. thats Phantasy Star Online 2... the one thats coming out first is Phantasy Star Online v2. Another thing.. notice how they say its cause they dont have the code... same thing with Halo. But xbox bashers say that Halo wont be online. Perhaps they should be fearing their own shortcomings.
