I heard that Phantasy Star Online was going to have a monthly charge today. I knew something may have been imminent, but I did not know that Microsoft would actually allow it to be pay2play. The reason I am ranting about this is because Microsoft was bragging that the consumers would not have to pay per month for their games, with the exceptions of MMORPG's and the yearly charge. PSO is not a MMORPG, yet we will have to pay the "hunter's license". Not to sound *****y, but PS2 Online is looking attractive with the keyboard and all (I will not get it, though). What will happen when we have Phantasy Star Online, a MMORPG, and after the first year XBox Live begins to charge/month for the service itself. Will we be paying $30-$40 per MONTH? With the constant raising of prices of the MMORPGs' monthly charges, and now playing a simple Diablo 2-esque game and having to pay... frankly, I am getting a bit worried. Is anyone else sharing the same fears?
