I'm curious, is PGR hard without a steering wheel?

PGR is challenging...but, I haven't played with the steerting wheel yet...I have just played with the normal controllers and it's nice
Steering isn't a problem. However I can imagine that the accelerator, brake, shifting dance would benefit greatly from a set of pedals.

well, you get 4(i think) controler set ups, so there is a control configuration that's good for you. You could also choose automatic so you don't worry about shifting up/down.
I like the main configuration (a, preset with game) for automatic. it has the left trigger as the breake, A as the handbreake, and right trigger as the accel...
the other has the triggers as shift up/ down, and A as accelarate.
