Serious Sam Question

I think I'm in the final scene of this game. I'm running around a courtyard with jump ramps and I'm supposed to be activating a teleporter beam. Some huge creature keeps killing all 20 of my lives and I can't find what to activate. Can someone tell me how to wrap this up and get out of here? Nothing I do has any impact on the big dude.

yeah i think i remember that level, you have to use the Jumpy pads that have arrows on them, and you do something... funk i forgot... maybe look straight up at the ship, and you see the crystal? shoot that? damn actually i don't remember, sorry.

okay, launch your self off the ramps and when your falling try to go through a ring thats attached to the wall, do this for all 4 walls. a beam comes down and attacks the monster as long as hes in the middle. attack him while hes in the beam re peat if necessary.
