Looked ok, but wasnt overly impressed. Doom3 looked more comparable to the PC version, this was turned down quite abit.

Yeah but still its Half Life 2 on your freakin XBOX!!! this should be an amazing game. If this makes it to the normal xbox i will be sooo happy.

Man, I'm always amazed at how much power they can sqeeze out of the Xbox. Like anything, it isn't going to look close to a PC at 1600 x 1200 res, but it blows away any other console out there.

If only developers used its power before now, we would have more titles that look that good.

I want to note to all who haven't played the HL series, that you NEED to go play HL1 and really pay attention to the story in it and while playing through HL2. They won't spoon feed you the story in HL2, but its a very good one that you need to pick up on in the environment, cut sceenes and in the first game.

Alway, (no spoiler), but the game leaves you hanging with more questions than answers. The gameplay alone is better than anything I've seen in the last 5 years, but the story is as well done (but not spoon fed) as the Matrix or any sci-fi franchise.

Remeber, don't expect to rush through this one and get the story. Many people who did that came out say stuff like, "there is no story." So take some time with this one, do a little detective work and you will really enjoy it. By detective work, there are things like news paper articles on poster boards that explain certain events and things like that (talking to people a la RPG, etc..).

Most importantly, atleast play HL1 because they aren't going to do a comprehensive recap for you. There are also a couple of expansions that help clear things up too.

ps the expansion to HL2 is due out (possibly Sept.), so look for that on your Xbox or 360 in the future.

Looks amazing, but I would have preferred having it on the Xbox 360 just so they could squeeze more content into the game and push the visuals even more. It probably won’t even be out before the release of the X360 here in the UK anyway.
