Question What do you have a 8 gig or 10 gig hard drive ??????

I have been told that some of the XBOX's that were sold the first week had a 10 gig hard drive but all the rest will now have 8 gig's. How do you know for sure what you have ? Or is this just a big hoax to make us **** off and we actually ALL have 10 gig hard drives as promise by Microsoft when they first anounced the making of a revolution in gaming

Even if you have a 10G hard drive it is partitioned so that only 8G is used.

The Xbox is setup for an 8GB drive, and thats all it uses. Both Seagate and WD destroked 10GB drives to make them 8GB for use in the Xbox. The difference is that Seagate didn't relabel them where as Western Digital did. I know this for a fact for WD as I work for them, and pretty sure the same is true for Seagate, as I know the drives were/are 10GB drives, but setup as 8GB.
