I'm actually looking forward to Apex because I was hearing it's like Ridge Racer on steroids. The Ridge Racer series is my favorite racing game ever. I'm glad to hear that I can't upgrade my cars in that game because I hate doing that. I know nothing about cars because I don't drive.

uh dude i think this game is heavily based on car upgrading....the whole point to the ame is to build your own line of cars and race them

BTW.....i also heard that its comparable to RR...but that dissappoints me... This game sounds great but RRV was the the worst game i've ever played.... the physics/controls blow. I hope the physics are much better so you dont just powerslide your way thru a track

I didn't think RRV was that bad of a game. It was the worst Ridge Racer game but it was still good.

I wasn't a big fan on GT and Sega GT 2002 because of car upgrading. I'd like to buy Apex but I have to get ZOE2 and Xenosaga first.

Yea br this game is based off starting your own car company and upgrading the crap out of your cars!!!

If you guys are waiting for an online racer then wait till March for Pro Race Driver which will have 20 racers on the track at once.

I'm still picking this game up because it looks as smooth as liquid poo but Pro Race Driver and Midtown Madness 3 will be pretty crazy with the online ability.

Well, if I'm going to need to upgrade my car in that game, then I won't be buying it. I'll just buy Auto Modellista instead. I prefer cel shading and Capcom anyway.

Auto Modellista looks fantasic but i was ****ered when they said its broadband only i was god ******. I bought a modem for PS2 cuz this game was supposed to support 56k

I just recently got APEX, and it's really good. The graphics, the gameplay is really good, but I have a problem. I got APEX recently and it was failing on me. I exchanged it [it was defective I was told] and it did the same. I called the Xbox 1-800# and they helped me. I had to delete the original file the first copy of APEX I had from the hard disk, and reload it as new. But, my problem is now when it SAVES it freezes on me. I haven't been able to play it much because of this problem and I was wondering if anybody had a problem similar to mine. But, this game looks bad-ass and I do recommend it to all the racing genre gamers. I would really like to enjoy the game and I would really appreciate it if someone would help me. I already called Infogrames and they told me it was my Xbox, but I don't know what to do now. HELP!

hmm, i was thinking of getting it, but after reading several different forums, it seems many, many people are getting games that freeze up on them. Its a bug plain and simple. You may get lucky and not run into the bug, or you may not be lucky and find the bug. But I dont think i'll be so quick to buy it now. I'm very picky when it comes to games and wont spend my money on a subpar product.

thats kinda depressing seeing a game filled with these type of bugs, the developers seriously need to test this **** before sending it out....I will rent it none the less.

Apex got what it takes to become Xbox great racer. Dream mode is a blast!! That's where it's at! I just race a 10 lap in race in dream mode. Wooo! Racing in the PRO races is really cool! It's fast racing! Fight for 1st! LOL! I like the full up grade on the cars, the full race looks, the tight handling and top speeds is great plus all the sweet racing tracks makes this game a dream come true. You have to get deep in the Dream mode. One of the best part in dream mode is just seeing the transformation on your garage turn into huge manufactory. Selling, designing, racing for popularity etc. Nice stuff here!

I agree, good times are here. Too bad Atari has been disbanded. I'm sure Infogrames will follow up with this hit.

Has anybody noticed how close this is to Infogrames' Test Drive: Le Mans for the Dreamcast? The same gaphics techniques are used in Apex. TD:Le Mans was a beautiful racer as well.
