service contracts

does any one have the microsoft service contract. Is it worth the $81.03 for a three year contract. has any one had any trouble with there xbox that would require expensive repairs. thanks for your advice.

I didn't get any of the contracts. I haven't had any problems that need fixed, but I know some who have. Costed them about 100 for repair.

I opted for the Best Buy 2 year replacement plan for $25. Several people on the boards have had to pay $100 to get their xbox repaired. I sure they would have liked to have the $81 repair plan.

my xbox is in a very sealed protected place for that reason. if it breaks, the money to buy it would come from my game buying money and when I bought my xbox i didnt have any extra money to get a repair plan so if it breaks im sol for a couple weeks to get it fixed. right now im nervous because a friend is doing surgery on it to put in a modchip
