Is memory card necessary for Fever

I noticed on the case of NFL Fever that it says it requires the use of a memory card. Is this true, I thought that one of the features of the XBOX was to use the hard drive instead of memory cards and that the memory card was for transporting to other consoles.

Nope. Don't need a memory card. I have been playing Fever for over a week now without a memory card and my season is progressing quite nicely. Already in week 15.

its saying that you CAN use a memory card, but its not necessary
