New Screens of Deus Ex: Invisible War
Developed by Ion Storm and published by Eidos, Deus Ex: Invisible War is the sequel to the popular Deus Ex. The game takes place approximately 20 years after the events depicted in Deus Ex, and the world is only beginning to recover from a catastrophic worldwide depression. In this chaotic period of recovery, several religious and political factions want to use this time as an opportunity to re-shape a worldwide government according to their agendas. They are fully aware that just a few of the right moves now could determine the shape of human society for decades - even centruries - to come.
This is where you come in. In the middle of this techno-nightmare, you take part in the dark struggle to raise the world from its own ashes. The game features cool Biotech modifications that allow players to see through walls, leap 40 feet into the air, regenerate critical body damage, or even become invisible to radar. The game is also very stealth based, as darkness and sound will affect enemy awareness (in a way similar to Splinter Cell).
In addition, the player's progress through the game is supported by an unprecedented freedom of action by a dynamic, non-linear story with responsive plot branches. Currently, Eidos has scheduled Deus Ex: IW for a summer release on both the Xbox and PC. Take a look at the three new screens below from the Xbox version.
