Forgive me, but I've tried to come up with a nice thread name. You can see my weak attempt, but I will explain why I've created this thread. My reason is this: Since Role-Playing Games are rare on the Xbox, how about we just use this thread to pour our ideas into to come up with a great title and great ideas to send to Microsoft to maybe have made into a role-playing game we all can love. Well, I don't know about that part, but it is just the thought of it. Anyway, let's just start off by thinking of a title and some random ideas. Include wether you think it should be turn based or not. Also, try and be as original as possible.

I'd love to see an RPG set in the old west. In addition to the challenges typical to the period, I'd like to see a world infested by the undead.

I dont know about the old west, but it would definatly be cool to see an RPG that isn't set in some medieval universe. I think one of the main reasons GTA games are so popular is because it's the closest thing to a fun real life present day RPG. Shenmue II meets Morrowind meets GTA Vice City seems like a lot of fun. But if you want to talk about an ideal typical RPG i think one is on the way and that's Fable. Im also looking forward to Star Wars Galaxies.

Wild arms is really ‘old west'.
I came up with a few cool ideas for RPGs.. One was kinda like this..

Your main "guy" starts of as this really super evil bad guy. Half way though the game he gets split in half in to a good and evil side,, his good side becomes the main character and he's quite week, do to the fact that he is the good side of a evil person.

Id like to see a turn base "Japanese" RPG if they would just break out of the new formula. Drop the super hot chicks(If I wanted to look at nice looking ladies.. Id at lest ogle of over real ones..) make a fun battle system, cool weapons, cool magic. Less crying and talking, more action and fighting.

some thing that would do good on Live is a well done Diablo clone. or Diablo 2 itself.. or even Diablo 3!

I really liked the part about having you start out as a really evil guy and end up having be the only good in him. Sounds pretty good, but I'd like it better if they spent more time on the game and made it where you got to choose to be the good or the bad guys.

I'd much rather look at a "super hot chick" in a videogame than a 4 foot tall fat pimple faced chick. That said, I'd like a JRPG too. Too bad Square won't make one for us on Xbox

Yea, Tomb Raider would have been succesful with a 4'11'' chubby red head playing Lara Croft. That'll happen just as soon as monkeys fly out my butt.

pfft. You know what I mean. When one of an RPG's major selling points is a polygon rendered chick, Its kinda sad.
I dont think a Kleenex thong and skintight bra are the best things to were in to combat.

Has anyone played Dungeon Seige on PC? That was a great game. It's kind of like Diablos but better. I would love to see a game like that on the Xbox and it would have to be live. But I also like the western Idea mix that in with dungeon seige. Now that would be a great game. But maybe some kind of space RPG could be fun to. There has been a few attempts but none of them really succeeded.

And I would also like to add that turn based is my favorite kind of RPG's.

Yep, I loved that game. I don't know how you'd replace the mouse with the controller on the XBOX.

It would be a lot like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. I found that they really did a good job using the xbox controler instead of a mouse for that game. No one thought it was possible. but It's actually pretty easy. So if they could do the same for Duengon seige it would be so sweet.

yeah it's essentialy the same thing but without the mouse.

I'd like to see a Diablo-port. I heard that Starcraft is coming to the XBox, so maybe their is hope that Blizzard will transfer another game.

I'd love to play a Vampire RPG. I didn't like Blood Omen - the graphics suxx.

I think that a game based on Robert Jordan's: The Wheel of Time series would do very well.

I wouldn't mind a Star Trek RPG/RTS game.

I want a MMORPG in the Lord of the Rings Universe to come to XBox Live - I'd never leave the freakin' house!
