Voices from beyond the grave..........on your XBOX?

I noticed this to. Im a perfectionist so one day I just sat there editing EVERY SINGLE SONG TITLE to the exact name on the cd and those little voices started and they got more frequent and they were goin off at me like every twenty seconds. Its too hard to hear what they say I tried turning my surround all the way up and still couldnt make it out.

I never noticed until I got my theater system. I was just looking through my hard drive at all my game saves. I was bored and I had the volume turned up on my receiver. I heard the voice, but it was from the rear speakers only. I jumped. I wasn't quite ready for that.

Something tells me that Microsoft didn't intend for the Xbox to be used in instrumental transcommunication. But if that's the case, we shall have to contact the Spiricom project immediately. Good thing they're right up the road from me!

yeah I heard it to but they talk to fast for me to hear what they say, I also have heard a noise like a knife or something being sharpened in the background.

yea i always hear them when i leave my xbox on.. does it freakl me out? NO. to me it sounds like traffic and people babbling on the street... wierd.. cant really make it out what it says.. sometimes it sounds like electronic sounds going on a wierd rhythm.

Do say I'm crazy but I've had it happen to me in XBL. One day I got up toke my shower, brushed my teeth..........Blah...........blah....blah. The I turn on my xbox pop in Unreal Championship connected to my friend Duffman's server. We start talking and stuff then I disconnect from his server. As I'm look ing at the main XBL screen of UC I here a small wisper of something...................................and yes it was is the mic and I was all alone in the house. I swear man it was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me while playing XBL. it was so wierd.

Oh, man!! I'd go and get XBL in a minute if I could connect to the afterlife. I'd love to play the first multi-planar videogame.

The longer you are on the dash or going through the options, the louder it speaks, and the more frequent it does. I've just heard it yambering on, I can't understand what there saying.

I turned up the sound on full and sat down for 20 minutes listening to it up close. It sounds like raidio transmitions. but i still couldn't make out what they were saying.

i think its just for an ambience "techy" feel. nothing really to be worried about. i don't think they are saying anything in particular.

take this sort of test that is similar to the voices heard from xbox. if u keep ur volume high, u could hear it at the end. but this one is much more scarier.

Haha I like the test.

Also, you don't need a 5.1 system to hear those robotic voices. It's just mumberish stuff and it never scared me one bit.

I think M$ put that to give the Xbox more of a 'futuristic' feel when powered up.

Actually, I like it. Makes me feel I own a personal 'Xbox Robot'.

Yeah, those effects are on every Xbox. Nothing new. It simply says, "be sure to drink your Ovaltine".

I heard it for the first time 2 years ago when I first got XBOX. I just finished playing Halo for the first time and then had it on the config screen where I heard it. It scared the hell out of me.
