which is better, nhl 2k3 or nhl 2003?

i want a hockey game and some people say 2003 is better and some say 2k3 is better, what do you guys think?

2K3 for sure. NHL2003 by EA sports is pretty much a bland rehash of NHL2002, with an added worthless deke system. 2K3 might not be as pretty, but it beats 2003 hands down in gameplay (especially since it is Live capable).

I'd probably wait for NHL Rivals to come out since that will be live and from what it looks like, looks to be pretty good.

2k3 definately..EA sucks,...2002 looked like friggon sega genisis graphics almost..I tryed it yesterday after playin 2k3 and was disguisted that i used to like it..I'd say 2k3 is awesome its realistic to hockey..A good sim..If u like low scoring like the nhl and noone skating a million miles an hour like te nhl and dont like arcade then this is for u..I thinks its far from arcade..I hate arcade so i would never get 2003, and all i hear is bad reviews...If your still not sure, rent both and c how u like em..

NHL 2002 graphics are 10X better than NHL2K3. Sega's graphics are a complete joke.

I only played 2K3 breifly so I'm not in much of a position to form much of an opinion. But from the reviews, 2K3 sounds better than what I've played of 2003. Mind you, I do like the create-a-player function.

2K3 only because EA is way to much like an arcade. I want HOCKEY D@MNIT! not some crap! Forget EA. They need to make a real game. The thing I like most though is the fact that there is now competition on the Xbox for Hockey! Before all we had was the EA. Now we got two, and at the end of the year we'll have rivals. I say, " make them compete!" I don't care who takes the throne. I know that with three out there, there should be one thats pretty darn good. I can't wait til '04's!
