Xbox won't be the best if we keep losing developer support. EA is not xbox friendly, that is known. Sega, on the other hand, is very xbox friendly. I don't want to see those two get mixed up.

Hand check button? You mean the steal button. I find that pretty realistic. If I can get away with a bad call like some do in the NBA then so be it. Most of the time you will steal the ball or get called with a foul. Once in a while the guy will get hit too hard and there will be a non-call....just like in the real NBA. The freestyle gameplay is WAY better than the gameplay of 2K3. There are so many moves with different combinations....not so in 2K3. The gameplay is fast in NBA Live but the scores are realistic when you play 6 minute quarters. When using Dallas I end with scores like 112-104. When using Boston I end up with scores like 84-79. The fast breaks are sweet with teams like Dallas and New Jersey but not so good with teams like Boston and New York....again, realistic.
I will take MVP Baseball over Sega. I played both and decided to go with MVP. And if anybody thinks NCAA Football 2K3 was better than NCAA Football 2003 then you really are on crack.

To each their own but Sega has yet to show me anything. I try and try and try. I gave up buying Sega (except NFL 2K4 for online play). I will rent first for now on but will always buy EA Sports right away....Thank God for EA Sports.
I'll give you football pro and college but the sliders alone make WSB and NBA2k3 better. With NBA2k3 you have real score over a 12 minn quarter game. If you want a faster paced more arcady game tweak the sliders. With Live you cant do anything to make it more of a Sim. Also just because you have real scores does not make it realistic. When you actually have people who know how to play NHL2k3, NBA 2k3, and WSB2k3 the games mimic the sport much more then anything EA has except Madden.

Also you can call it a steal button if you want but if a guy can get knocked down and their is no call its more like an elbow. Also you barely use freestyle in Live. In NBA 2k3 you have to work for baskets, and you manage the crossover, pump fake, spin, jab step, fake pass, post up, fall away, leaner, runner, dunk you change into a layup, etc etc much more like you are playing real hoops.

I already went over the steal button. I have had no probs with it....and I use Freestyle all the time. My favorite move with Paul Pierce: palming the ball with one hand and putting it behind my right leg. As the defender reaches for the ball do a crossover or spin by and head for the basket for a foul or an easy bucket. NBA Live has the all those things you posted except it has more with freestyle....like palming the ball and moving it around (like you see Paul Pierce and Kobe do on isolation)....which always leads to something good on an isolation play.

Freestyle is responsive but not as necessary or incorporated into the gameplay as 2ks controls. In NBA 2k I can play a season with 12 minn quarters and be forced to use certain moves to maintain shot percentages that hover around 50. With Live its like a Football game with money plays there are ways you can get a 70% shot off every time down. So you dont need freestyle. There is a reason the PC version had a "realism" patch.

70%? LOL!! Either I'm not that good or I use freestyle too much. Either way I find it very realistic.
