Pirates of the Caribbean
Okay, someone has to stop Bethesda Softworks before they suck the rest of my life out through my eyes. The hit success of Morrowind wasn't enough for them? They had to deliver a rollicking pirate adventure to their legions of sleep-deprived fans? I cheer them. I curse them. I grab my controller and say please, sir, may I have another!
Pirates of the Caribbean is shaping up to be just as fun and addictive as Morrowind, only this time, the roleplaying-style adventure has moved to the high seas and added an incredible ship-to-ship combat system. With two primary characters (ship captains Blaze and Danielle) and a host of starting attributes, you can start the game in any number of ways, including a claim of allegiance for one of several factions. Or, just go for the gold as an out-and-out pirate.
Hunt treasure, or run illegal trade between islands. Pillage and plunder the countryside, or hunt down evil men and women at sea. Or, simply follow up on any of the hundreds of side quests that will be dropped in your path, no matter where you go. Sound familiar? It should. But, it should also sound a bit different as well, especially when you start walking the deck of your own ship, manning cannons, and blowing sea scum right out of the water! Come alongside, grapple, board, and take an enemy vessel. This is real high-seas action and a sea-dog-style adventure.
Pirates of the Caribbean is a treasure chest just waiting to be opened.
