Why do they always put nasty effects on the screens? It looks awsome though!

I believe these screens are from scans, if they are the same ones I've seen. They probably look much better w/o being scanned. I could be wrong, though.

Cool, I had a great time playing through Max Payne. I must say I would have been really p*ssed off if I would have bought such a short game. When I can finish a game in a rental, no matter how spectacular and revolutionary it is, it just wasn't worth a purchase.\
I hope the 2nd game will get rid of those lame "in your head" levels and make the whole game a longer experience to play through.
The weak shall perish.

Max Payne was one of my all time favorite games. I hope this lives up to its predecessor.

I thought in the instruction booklet for this game it said Max Payne was going to be a movie. what ever happened to that?
They seem to have changed the appearance of max for this game, the Max in the screens above dosnt look like the original max from the first game!!

i beat this game in the rental also hopefully the second one is better...
The original Max was designed after one of the developers for the game. They used his same likeness for the second...just now there is much more detail. So it is the same guy.Originally posted by Arrakis44

It is looking good, but these are all PC screenshots. Hopefully nothing gets lost in the port to the Xbox.

what the...what the hell happened to Max?? He's an old geezer now. I geuss it's realistic since he was probably in jail for a heck of a long time...but still, he doesn't look as cool as the good 'ol constipated Max.
I remember checking out the video preview around when E3 was on. That game looks awesome!! Adding Kung Fu to the Max Payne series was a smart move. Seriously, that game looks intense. It's on my buyers list
