XBOX or TV Problem

Hey all I just bought a HiDef TV and I got the HeDef advanced pack from microsft to hook up the XBOX with. Here is my problem when playing games they work and look awesome in hidef 480p mode but when I turn off the XBOX to use the start up screen like to change settings or to upload songs I cannot use this on my HiDef hook up. I have to go back to the back of the TV and plug it into the component inputs and then the start up screen works but the games dont work in this mode. Anyone know whats up?

The Xbox dashboard only supports 480i. This has been the biggest gripe from the HD community since the launch of the Xbox and it has never nor from the sounds of it be fixed.

The only way around it is to switch to a different input on your tv that supports 480i or switch to an input that supports both 480i and 480p. Most HD tv's have at least one HD connection that supports 480i.
