Its simple, just boil the water untill its really bubbling not simmering. Put the whole disc in for about 10-15 secibds have one towel laying down and place the disc on it and then put another towel over it and just compress dont wipe unless with a soft cloth. It worked for me.

Well this is for the Demo discs. Some OXM discs still have an extra layer on them and boiling it takes it off. Well thats the theory i have heard at least but you cant argue with results.

Yeah, same here. Several times too. Mainly for Ghost Recon and some OXM disks that didn't work in my machine.

I did it for MOTOGP 2, worked great. used a plastic fork to hold it in centre of pot and get it out. Only left it in for about 30sec.

I used some salad tongs to pry the center hole apart as much as I could so it wouldn't slip off. Fixed my OXM demo like a charm.

What exactly does it do for non OXM demo discs? Would this method work for music cd's?

Umm, ok i have just get the latest OXM issue (September), first i pop it in my Xbox, it's works but later when i'm playing Soul Calibur 2 in the middle of the game, it's show the message of DDE. After it's won't work at all. So i try the bloiling method you guys talking about. Now it's works perfectly. The surface look more scratchy than before i leave it in the hot water but it's works.

Yeah that is what happened with me. The surface looks alot more scratched but it works perfectly. I was extremly hesitant about doing it but i had nothing to lose since it didnt work anyway.
