Ripping Question

Do any of you guys know why the XBOX does not recognize some CD's as valid. I have ripped a bunch of songs onto the hard drive from my CD collection, but when I tried to extract songs from the CD-R read/write CDs that I had burned, the XBOX did not recognize them as a valid compact disc. What's the problem?

XBox can read Industry Grade CDs (The kind you buy at the store) and most CDRW discs, but it cannot read CDR discs.
