What is the maximum amount of players can you have on Live? I have heard between 6 and 16. So what is it? Thanks!

In one of the previews I read, it seemed to indicate that having 16 dudes battling it out will not be uncommon. They may have figured out a way to have someone host 16 man games even if the 'host' has a standard broadband connection rather than an exceptional or over-the-top broadband connection.
