Building the perfect shooter list

My list of shooting games is fast becoming formidable. This is definitely my favorite genre now and I’m now completely obsessed with owning all of the best shooters out there. There are a few that I am considering:

1. Dead To Rights (http://www.deadtorights.com/) ~ this has been re-released for about 20 bucks as a “classic” of shooters and is often compared to Max Payne. It also just came out on PC, so I'm curious to see how it compares to the Xbox version.
2. Half-Life (http://half-life.sierra.com/) ~ I'm already excited about HL2 just from reading about it.. But I never played the original on console or PC.
3. True Crime (http://www.activision.com/microsite/truecrime/) ~ now that it's out I've heard mostly disappointing opinions. Hope it's not as bad as what I've seen people say so far.

So those are a few of the ones I’m looking at right now. Any feedback would be cool. Also, I have listed below all the shooters I already own and others I plan to get.

These Games have guns but they should not be consider true shooters unless your on some kind of acid.

I see where you're comin from man for sure, but what WOULD you classify these games as? I mean i'm glad you covered your point by saying they have guns (thus making them THIRD PERSON SHOOTERS IN MY EYES) but to strengthen your point further, what types of games are these in your eyes?

Oh and BTW - Great lists guys. I'm surprised RS 3 isn't in there more though. As for all the others, great new and old

Shooters is my favorite Console Genre. Overall, Strategy is definitely the best game genre.

Those games up there are usually classified as Action/Adventure games.

IMO Max Payne and Tomb Raider could be classified as Third Person Shooters.. The others are Action/Adventure..

I guess what nycgamer means by "shooter" is any game that involves firearms. I followed suit and typed in my list of games in accordance to this.

ooo nice list. i never realized how much good shooters out there for xbox . only thing i was paying much attention to was halo2, HL2, and RS3

Ummm not Tomb Raider buddy, there are too many other elements in the game that make in not a shooter, tons of exploration, puzzles, etc. Not a shooter by any means.
