Doom 3 site Launched

Activision and id Software announced today the launch of the teaser website for DOOM 3 . First released in 1993, DOOM is widely recognized as the catalyst for the first-person action genre. Since its inception, the franchise has been one of the industry’s best-selling PC series.




Built on id’s revolutionary new 3D graphics engine, DOOM 3 draws players into the most terrifying and riveting 3D gaming experience ever created. id Software and Activision confirmed at E3 2003 that DOOM 3 is headed to the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. Vicarious Visions will be handling the Xbox port.

Isn't that what we have been getting for the last three years at E3.

Personaly I doubt if this or HL will live up to expectations. Not that I wouldn't mind being suprised.

cool i might check out that site. as long as it keeps the gameplay and doesnt worry more about graphics then it should do fine. I hope the graphics r good aswel tho.

Sorry to disappoint, but the gameplay has been changed.

Doom3 will be much slower paced, and focus on atmosphere. Where as the other dooms were run in and blast everything that moves.

Its going to be awesome though

Im not as excited about Doom 3 as most are , I heard the multiplayer is kinda run of the mill, but Im sure it will be worth a purchase, but I don't think it wll live up to the hype, the graphics two years ago looked Fantasic but kinda look like all the other big upcoming titles, Halo 2 and Half Life 2 to name a few , I also read that the Xbox will have just as good graphics , then recently some article floated around saying it will have a Slight noticbale difference?? , anyway , Im looking foward to Halo 2 and Fable more than anything else ,

played doom 2 with my dad when i was probably around 4...aaah the sweet, sweet memories .

can't wait for doom 3!!!!!!!!
