Exclamation Brand new Xbox with the newest drive Flashed red with new game.

It's a brand new Xbox. I purchased Lord of the rings and the game froze 30% into it and a red light came on and said it needs service. I unplugged it overnight and it hasn't done it in 5 days. Anyone else have this ocurrence? It's only happened once and my Xbox is brand new with the newest drive. Luckily I have a 2 year warranty!

Wierd...never happened to me. Usually the red light means a fatal error and your xbox needs repair.

Hey man, if you just bought it, then you should bring it back to avoid any future grief.. (sounds familiar?)
Don't bother waiting to see if it'll happen again. Take care of it now, and get a fresh box.

Well, after playing ESPN yesterday, the Xbox made a weird noise after ejecting. It sounded like a car that won't start in the winter. I was mad as hell and took it back and explained to them I had a ton of music on there that I couldn't transfer. They gave me a brand new Xbox, renewed my 2 yr warranty, 2 free games and a $30.00 rebate. I think that is fair.

that's a pretty sweet deal actually.... i'm surprised they gave you free stuff... if i were you i would use that $30 to buy Xbox Music Mixer so you can transfer all your music straight from your PC without having to burn it all... it's free money anyway right?
