What other 3 games got perfect 10's from gamespot...heres one...

i got this from the gamespot site stating the game of the year was zelda, and in the reason why it got a 10 they mentioned that 4 games have recieved perfect 10's...what are the other 3?

More like what were they smoking... I can understand Zelda being a 10. It was and still is a great game. In my opinion Halo is closer to a 10 then ALL of those other games... so is PGR2, Morrowind, Crimson Skies, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark... I could go on.

Goldeneye! Now that is a under rated game!!! Love it still play to this day on my N64. What about Metalgear Solid for the PS1 it would be a 10 long before Tony Hawk 3, plus TH1 was better than #3.

Well, In my opinion, Tony Hawk 3 is perfection so it doesn't bother me. Also Goldeneye did get a 9.9 (I think). I don't like Goldeneye, when played back then it ruled, when played now, I personally hate playing it. I think Devil May Cry should've gotten a 10 if anything.

Halo is, BY FAR, my favorite game...ever! But, even it doesn't deserve a PERFECT 10. Nothing does.

Game reviewers tend to be those dorky guys that played games 24/7 as kids and never saw the light of day (sorry if I offend any dorky game hermits). They usually do a great job, but being so engrossed in gaming I think they sometimes lose perspective. Especially, when it comes to sequals to classics.

Use the reviews, but always watch for the obvious signs that a reviewer has lost his perspective. i.e if all they write about is how great a game's predecessor was and base its review off primarily that, then watch out, just because Mario 64 was one of the greatest of all time doesn't mean Mario 64 with better gfx and a water gun is


I have yet to play a perfect game and agree that no game is a 10.

i don't know about thps3, but i know for sure that chrono deserves to be on there. that was probably the only rpg ever made that i think is better than a final fantasy rpg......*sigh* i wish there was a sequel also, despite Soul Caliber 2 being a bit of a disappointment (only because of the lack of bonus features like fan art galleries and theatre mode), the first Soul Caliber (which had the 2 modes i just stated) was one of, if not the best, fighting game ever made.

Playing that through as we speak. I dont think its underated but maybe the review score is a little low conisdering the replay value. Ocarina of time is/was badass and it deserved the 10. What about FF7, i think that game was perfect.

I was going to get TH4 since they are both $20, so is TH3 that much better?

I personally think Tony Hawk 4 is trash, and the worst sequels to a game ever... of the ones I've played. Underground is just as bad, if not worse. I only own 4 to have them all, once UnderGround is $20 Ill get that too, but there's no way I'd pay $50 for it.

I think Final Fantasy VII, Devil May Cry, & Viewtiful Joe deserve 10's.

though I havn't played the second (because of terrible reviews) Game Informer put DMC 2 on the top of biggest dissapointment of 2003. I love DMC, and tell anyone with a PS2 to buy it now.

soul calibur on the dreamcast is maybe the best game i ever played seriously at that time. I love it still. I am not really impressed or a big fan of the second one really. Kinda wish i kept my money...

This is definately been run through the machine a lot, but Halo was a 10 for me. Its one of the only games I've played where nothing annoyed me (gameplay/graphics/sound wise). I still play it for hours on end, campaign and multiplayer.

Other 10's for me:
1. Every Zelda game, I just love them
2. Metroid Prime
3.NHL Hitz Pro <--not many people's pick but I love this series and this is my absolute favorite hockey game to date.
