No Halo Banshees?

Why could they not have put the banshee in the multiplayer too. It would be awesome on the sidewinder map. I was very disappointed to find that I would not be able to shoot my friends out of the sky with the scorpian. Anyone know why they didn't? Maybe in the next Halo if I'm lucky..

I think the Banshee and the Banshee only would be neat in the multi level called "Boarding Party" ( If I remeber correctly.) Its the one with 2 sides and a pit in the middle. I think the banshee would provide a good mode of transportation instead of using the green portals...
