A case for the G36C

With the shift toward 2x zoom guns the question naturally arises which one to use. Most people find themselves with the FAMAS, and why shouldn't they? It's basic statistics are the best of the 2x zoom guns. But you must look below the surface to see the gun's alternatives. I want to make a case for the G36C and ask your opinions about it. My goal, is that by doing so, we might all find the better gun, whichever it may be.

First let's put down the stats, which are always lauded in RS3.

FAMAS G2: BS: 5.56mm; R: 39; D: 56; A: 60; S: 52; Re: 91
G36C: BS: 5.56mm; R: 39; D: 56; A: 59; S: 43; Re: 88

...where BS=bullet size, R=range, D=damage, A=accuracy, S=stability, R=Recovery.

OK, so the FAMAS has a one point advantage in A, a nine point advantage in S, and a 3 point advantage in Re. But the FAMAS has one other statistical "advantage," one which is a double-edged sword: The FAMAS, as one loading screen reminds us, has the highest rate of fire among RS3's assault rifles: 950 rounds per minute. I have estimated the G36C's fire rate at 750 rounds per minute, which is what it is in real life. Obviously, some will claim that this gives the FAMAS further advantage, but I think it may be its downfall.

The FAMAS's rate of fire is simply too high. When it comes to single shot taps, the guns are basically even, with a 1 point advantage for the FAMAS's accuracy. But when it comes to burst fire and even all out tree-chopping the G36C may have an advantage. Although the FAMAS has more recovery and stabilty and accuracy than the G36C, it has less recovery time between shots, each shot compounding until the FAMAS has less real accuracy, less real recovery, and less real stability than the G36C. This (possible) advantage of the G36C is what I think needs to be discussed.

Disclaimer: I haven't made up my mind on this matter yet. I just think that the G36C has a overlooked strength, one that I think ya'lls commentary coud help illuminate. Help me and all of us decide which gun is superior.

the reason i play with the famas is its rate of fire. my aim is good and when i aim at the head of my enemy, i can fire a couple burst which means more bullets into the head in a short amount of time, which shoots faster than the G36C.

I also noticed the faster rate of fire helps in close quarter combat. Just spray from one side to another at there face. They usually drop.

i just like th g36c better for sumreason not sure why, i just never used the famas since everyone else uses it

Someone online said that he heard his uncle say that he once knew a guy that dreamed about people who used the G36C, and they were all ghey. Just thought I would add my input.

I've always switched between the two depending on what I felt like that day. I think they're both similar enough that it doesn't make that big of a difference.

I agree with you peepers. I switch around both guns. I hate how the g36c fills up the whole screen

These 2 guns are very different IMO. I been using the famas for weeks now. I always stuck with it. Today i tried the G36C and it is totaly differeny. I find the G36C is a better cuz of its accuracy. Yeah i know the stats say its less accurate but this is my observation. Im sure lag plays an important role too seeing how i never host.

i guess other ppl have different tatse. the famas is very accurate for me since im always dropping ppl in 3 shots and close to mid range.

btw, in ur sig...the mods did not delete ur posts, they deleted the XBC forums and anybody that posted in there, lose some posts. like me, i lost 200.

Yeah i agree the famas is acurate. I find it shots to fast though sometimes. I wish there was an alternate fire method button like on CS.

You Stat WHORE. Stick with the program boy. When we say use the m1 it doesnt mean use the famas

i was gonna change but wh00p didnt give me time weapons as he launched the server.

btw, i just played with the g3c today...it was ok, but i still liked the famas better bc i get more bullets into the body at a faster rate, which means the bodies drop in a split second as i pull the trigger. famas all the way.

You still did pick the famas a few times though. I agree i like the speed of the famas. You can drop 2 or 3 people in seconds

I would also expect someone as perceptive as you to find the humor in my comments.

Nevertheless, your post asked a question whose answer was abundantly clear given even a cursory reading, so I joke at your expense. Get over it.

EDIT: I just noticed that you abandoned that ghey blue all your posts used to be in. I guess maybe there is hope after all.
