    Default Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i had a launch xbox that was messing up on me and i returned it to ebgames for 80$ store credit exactly 7 days ago.
    that is two days before the price drop.
    i got a thompson again and its giving me dde's again.
    what should i do?
    does someone know of a way to tell what xbox drive is in there by serial no. only.plz help asap as i only have 7 days to return it.also do u guys think they will pay me the difference or i can just ask them for a full refund and buy a new one right?i also have the one year extended warranty.

    uh... i know a way.... you have to take it apart though, and if you have a warranty that's bad...yep...just take it apart and in big bold letters it will say: THOMPSON, PHILLIPS, or the other one that i don't remember what it is called...yeah...

    The easiest way to tell is by the drive tray. When you open it the openings in the trey are different.

    Thompson: Straight opening, curved at the front.

    Philips: Keyhole shaped.

    Samsung: Has 2 circle openings on either side.

    or yu could open up the drive and see if the tray is solid or has holes. if its solid its an old drive if its not its new
