Best Xbox Game (your opinion)

Until Halo 2, Halo will be the best. I'm thinking Fable has a great chance of being the best game if it is as good as they say it is. Same with Full Spectrum Worrior and BC.

Now don't get me wrong, I love that game, as well as most of the others posted here, but why is it that the debut game for XBox is still number one! Why hasn't there been a definitive replacement, or many solid replacements for "Bad-Ass-Must-Have Game? My guess would be the string of broken release dates left behind by Bungie as well as others (ah hum.. Fable?) I mean, by the time these guys get their act together (if ever) XBox2 will be out!

Who can explain it? There is something about HALO that makes it that good. I mean, I could sit here and name off a billion things why I like it, but the true reason why it stay's true to the test of time is that they'd set the bar high.
I'm so happy for other games designers also putting the bar high. Now it can be a list of, well, I like action games, or Me RPG's.
It's wierd. I was indifferent to FPS's when I first played HALO. I was like, WTF! is this?!
Now it's so cool, I can't get enough of it.
But easily game breakers like Ninja Gaiden and KOTOR are my favorite Action Games and RPG's.
But my # 1 new love is: HALO, Combat Evolved. Genre never experienced by many and trying the best one on the Market. I think that's why it's all our favorites.

I think if HALO and NINJA GAIDEN and Rainbow 6 3 were racing, R63 would squeak out a 3rd place finish and HALO would finish next to last.

bah on all you Halo worshippers. I like Halo, its a good game, but it's far from the best, heck I even think Rainbow Six 3 is better than Halo. It's great, but far from the best.

Deathrow. Great graphics, interesting gameplay, great sound, great mature dialogue, could have been huge on Live. It is the closest to Super Dodge Ball that we will get.

Where to start should actually be your question!!!
Massive levels, Ingenious NPC's, Intelligent AI, smooth control, vehicles, stellar game engine and intense story. Not to mention the LAN's.
I'll give it to you though, RS3 has those things too, however, I have a serious bone to pick with those Covenant B@stards for what they've done to Earth, and it's good to have a game where you have that much passion for the enemy's downfall.
On top of all else, it's the earliest great game on Xbox and so we all probably got comfortable with it and stayed with it.
I am with you on the fact that I'm seriously glad that we finally have stellar games to compete against this gem though.
For a while it was HALO, and HALO only. Well, and Hockey. But now I have more games than ever and I think they're all stellar!
Crimson SKies, Ninja Gaiden, Project Gotham 2, KOTOR, SCPT, RS3, ESPN NHL, Breakdown, and yes, even LINKS. I love them all! Along with HALO! So now I'm a very happy Xbox gamer.
But soon HALO will be followed by two, and when that happens, watch out!
Maybe, even you'll say: Best. Game. Ever.

The best? I couldn't say. I love all the games I've kept. I have a lotta room in my heart for Metal Arms, Morrowind, Beyond Good and Evil, and Panzer Dragoon Orta. I mean, they've all remained firm in my mind since I first played them. I get a jones for each game regularly.

So, yeah. I don't have a #1. I'm sure Fable and/or B.C. will change that rapidly, however.

Tough choice but I'll say Splinter Cell. Great graphics and a nice change of pace with the stealth-style gameplay. Halo is a close second because I've yet to play Ninja Gaiden, I'm sure my opinion will change then.
